The Rising Light Retreat: Cocoa Beach, FL

What to Expect

A gentle pause from everything you’ve been carrying.

The Rising Light Retreat in Cocoa Beach is a space to step away from the expectations, responsibilities, and noise of everyday life and reconnect with you.

Through meaningful conversations, guided reflection, gentle movement, moments of stillness, and time to simply enjoy being together, we’ll explore who you are now, what matters most to you, and what you want the next chapter of your life to feel like.

There is no expectation to have everything figured out. Just come as you are.

This is your space to breathe, connect, reflect, laugh, rest, and give yourself permission to begin living forward, one step at a time.

Intentional Structure

Every part of the retreat is thoughtfully designed to support reflection, connection, and personal growth. Our days balance guided experiences with space to rest, breathe, laugh, and simply be, without feeling rushed or over-scheduled.

Collaborative Energy

This isn’t a retreat where someone talks at you. You’ll learn, reflect, and grow alongside other surviving spouses through meaningful conversation, shared experiences, and the reminder that while every story is different, there is comfort in being with people who understand.

Facilitation by Someone Who Gets It

The retreat is facilitated by SLL founder Angelic Smith, a surviving spouse who has walked her own journey of grief, identity, and learning how to live forward. She brings both lived experience and intentional programming to create conversations that feel real, relatable, and grounded, not clinical.

A Supportive Space

There is no expectation to grieve a certain way, share more than you want to, or have your next chapter figured out. SLL creates space for you to show up exactly as you are, to reflect, reconnect with yourself, explore what matters now, and give yourself permission to move forward in your own way.

Step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, and create space to reflect on who you are now and who you are becoming.
